rich and dense and apple juice flavors this delicious pound cake loaf Ingredients:
1 3/4 cup flour |
1 tsp baking powder |
1/4 tsp salt |
1/4 tsp cinnamon |
1 1/2 sticks butter |
1 cup sugar |
3 eggs |
1 tsp lemon juice |
1/2 cup apple juice |
1 1/2 cup fresh blueberries |
glaze |
2/3 cup powdered sugar |
2 tsp apple juice or as needed. |
Directions:
1. Combine flour, baking powdr, salt and cinnamon. 2. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. 3. Add eggs one at a time and mix well, 4. Add the lemon juice, apple juice and mix well. 5. Add dry ingredients and blend until just mixed. 6. Toss berries with a bit of flour and gently fold berries into batter. 7. Place mixture in a greased and floured loaf pan. 8. Bake in a preheated 350F oven about 1 hour or tested done. 9. Cool 15 minutes and remove from pan. 10. Cool completely in rack. 11. Mix glaze and pour over loaf |
