Ingredients:
4 cup(s) fresh blueberries (can use frozen) |
3/4 cup(s) sugar |
3 to 4 tablespoon(s) flour (if using frozen berries, increase to 4 1/2 tablespoons) |
1/2 teaspoon(s) lemon zest |
1/2 teaspoon(s) dash of salt |
1/2 teaspoon(s) each cinnamon and nutmeg |
1 to 2 teaspoon(s) lemon juice |
1 tablespoon(s) butter |
2 pie shells |
Directions:
1. Mix together sugar, flour, lemon peel & salt (and spices) in bowl. 2. In pie crust, add berries, then dry mixture. 3. Sprinkle with lemon juice & dot with butter. Adjust top crust. 4. Sprinkle sugar on top, cut air slits & Bake at 400 for 35-40 minutes. 5. Check the crust while baking. If outer edges brown too quickly, add a strip of foil about the edges. |
