Recipe adapted from Crisco. Important to make sure your berries are thoroughly dried. Ingredients:
1 cup fresh blueberries, washed and thoroughly dried |
3/4 cup butter, softened |
1/2 cup white sugar |
1/2 cup light brown sugar |
1 teaspoon lemon zest |
2 eggs |
2 cups all-purpose flour |
2 teaspoons baking powder |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/2 cup milk |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375ºF. 2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together butter and the sugars; and lemon peel and eggs and beat well. 3. Gradually add in dry ingredients and milk; beat well. 4. Gently fold in blueberries. 5. Drop by spoonfulls on lightly greased cookie sheets. 6. Bake at 375ºF for 10 to 12 minutes. |
