This great recipe came from my good friend Vera back in 1974, I have been enjoying it every since. Not sure where she got it from it is delicious, as all her recipes are. Ingredients:
1 (18 ounce) package refrigerated sugar cookie dough, room temperature |
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened |
1 egg |
1/4 cup sugar |
1/4 teaspoon grated lemon peel |
1 1/2 cups blueberry pie filling |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 2. Press dough evenly in a greased 13x9x2 inch baking pan. 3. Beat cream cheese, egg, sugar, and lemon rind in a medium size bowl with mixer till smooth. 4. Spread mixture over cookie dough. 5. Dollop blueberry pie filling on cheese;swirl with a knife or small metal spatula. 6. Bake in a preheated oven for 35 minutes. 7. Cool on a wire rack. 8. Cut into bars. Refrigerate. |
