Wonderful recipe that's great for a breakfast treat or desert. Not too sweet w/ good old fashioned flavor. Servings vary depending on if you slice for teenage boys or proper ladies. ;) Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups butter |
2 cups sugar |
3 1/2 cups all purpous flour |
1/2 tsp salt |
4 tsp baking powder |
2 eggs |
1 cup milk |
2 tsp vanilla extract |
2 1/2 cups blueberries, rolled in flour |
Directions:
1. Cream butter & sugar. 2. Add eggs. 3. Sift dry ingredients in a seperate bowl. Alternate adding milk & dry ingredients into batter in thirds. 4. Stir in vanilla & fold in blueberries. 5. Sprinkle top w/ sugar & nutmeg (eyeball it). 6. Pour into a greased and floured 9x13 cake pan. Bake in a preheated 350F oven for 1 hr or until toothpick inserted comes out clean. 7. ** Be sure to cool cake completely before cutting & serving. Refrigeration isn't needed, but helps. :) |
