Best made with wild blueberries. Ingredients:
3/4 cup sugar |
1/4 cup shortening, softened |
1 egg |
1/2 cup milk |
2 cups flour |
2 teaspoons baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
2 cups blueberries |
1/2 cup sugar |
1/3 cup flour |
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon |
1/4 cup butter, softened |
Directions:
1. Mix thoroughly first 3 ingredients. 2. Stir in milk. 3. Sift together and stir in flour, baking powder, salt, and blueberries. 4. Spread batter in greased and floured 9 square pan. 5. For crumb mixture, mix ingredients together. 6. Sprinkle on top of batter. 7. Bake 45 to 50 minutes. |
