The Bread Machine Cookbook Makes a 1 1/2 pound loaf. Both the hubby and the kidling like this. Unlike most breads where I set the crust to the lightest setting, this one needs a medium-dark crust to cook all the way. Ingredients:
1 cup buttermilk |
3 tablespoons butter |
3 tablespoons honey |
1 cup blueberries |
2 teaspoons salt |
2/3 cup natural bran |
2/3 cup whole wheat flour |
2 2/3 cups bread flour |
2 1/2 teaspoons yeast |
Directions:
1. Bake according to manufacturer’s instructions, adding the blueberries during the add-ins cycle or 5 minutes before the final kneading is finished. |
