This sauce is sweet and tangy. Add some at the end of cooking and pass the rest at the table. Frozen berries can be used if fresh are unavailable. Ingredients:
2 cups fresh blueberries |
1/2 cup balsamic vinegar |
3 tablespoons sugar |
3 tablespoons ketchup |
2 garlic cloves, chopped |
1 pinch salt |
Directions:
1. Place all ingredients into a saucepan. 2. Bring to a boil, lower to simmer, cook for 15 minutes until slightly thick, stirring occasionally. 3. Let it cool slightly. 4. Pour into blender and puree. 5. Use as you would any bbq sauce, on chicken, pork, or tuna. |
