From my collection of handwritten recipes 1960's. Ingredients:
1 pint blueberries |
2 cups tart apples, peeled and sliced |
1 tablespoon lemon juice |
1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed |
1 cup flour |
3/4 cup granulated sugar |
1 teaspoon baking powder |
3/4 teaspoon salt |
1 egg, slightly beaten |
1/3 cup butter, melted and cooled |
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon |
cream |
Directions:
1. Butter a shallow 1 1/2 quart baking dish and put in blueberries and apples. Sprinkle with lemon juice and brown sugar. Mix next 4 ingredients, stir in egg and mix until crumbly. Sprinkle over fruit. Top with the butter, then sprinkle with cinnamon. Bake in moderate oven (350*) 35-40 minutes. Serve warm with cream. |
