A more distinctive sandwich that remains comfort food at heart. Sunflower or cashew butter would be awesome in this, and I prefer 365 brand fruit preserves- they contain no added sugars and are just basically fruit and pectin, not like most mainstream sugary brands. I use Nature's Pride bread because it's both whole-grain and economical.
Ingredients:
2 slices seven-grain bread
2 tablespoons almond butter
2 tablespoons blueberry preserves (sugarless fruit-only)
Directions:
1. You know what to do! :D Feel free to substitute - but use something cool and unusual, ie, not strawberry or grape jam and definitely not peanut butter. (They're all tasty and everything, but the point of this post is to be exotic.).
