A long-gone ice cream & snack shop in Fells Point (Baltimore, MD) used to sell a smoothie by this name. This is my (healthier) adaptation of it - you could use 2 cups or so of vanilla frozen yogurt instead of the protein powder and most of the ice if you want it more authentic! Ingredients:
8 -10 ounces frozen blueberries |
1 large banana |
14 g protein powder |
10 fluid ounces apple juice (1 small bottle) |
4 -8 ice cubes |
Directions:
1. Add all ingredients except ice cubes to blender (or tall beaker, if using immersion blender). 2. Blend until smooth. 3. Add ice cubes until desired consistency is reached. |
