This is without a doubt the best Blue Cheese Dressing. PLEASE follow the directions. Simple to make & lasts for about 2 weeks in the fridge. If you find you have a small amount left add bit more mayo & a bit more sour cream to the original base & sit overnight again & it is still delicious. Ingredients:
1 cup sour cream (not low fat) |
2 cups mayonnaise (not low fat) |
3 tablespoons black pepper (fresh cracked preferred) |
8 ounces blue cheese, good quality (crumbled) |
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (to taste) |
1/2 teaspoon hot sauce |
3 tablespoons white zinfandel wine (do not leave out) |
Directions:
1. Mix Sour Cream & Mayonnaise together in a medium size bowl. 2. Add black pepper. (I guessed at the amount. You want enough to see black specks throughout the mix.). 3. Add Blue Cheese, garlic powder, hot sauce & white zinfandel wine. 4. Mix well and sit overnight in fridge with a stir or two for true flavor. It gets better as the days go on. |
