Now that the Holiday season is upon us, we are always looking for new appetizers to serve. One using good Blue Cheese, which Denmark is famous for, is the recipe given below. It is from a cookbook from Wilmington, NC issued by the Ministering Circle of that city in 1964. Ingredients:
1 cup blue cheese, crumbled |
1/2 cup soft butter |
1 cup flour |
1/2 cup chopped nuts |
1 cup chopped nuts, for rolling |
Directions:
1. Cream together the blue cheese and the butter. Add the flour and nuts and mix until a uniform dough is obtained. Take 1 teaspoon of the mixture and form into soft balls. Roll each ball in the cut of chopped nuts. Place on a baking sheet and bake in a preheated 350 F oven for 15-17 minutes. |
