why make sandwiches for a group, when you can make a large salad that's not as messy? Ingredients:
1/2 lb. bacon cooked |
1/2 c. mayo |
2 tbl. red wine vinegar |
1/4 c. fresh chp. basil |
4 slices french bread, cut into 1/2 inch pieces |
1 tsp. salt |
1 tsp. fresh black pepper |
1 tbl. evoo |
1 lb romain lettuce, torn |
1 pint cherry tomatoes, quarterd ( or any kind you have chp.) |
Directions:
1. Cook bacon and crumble. set aside 2. brown the french bread cubes in the bacon drippings, drizzle with evoo and season with S&P. 3. Small bowl, wisk mayo, basil, and vinegar. 4. In a large bowl mix romain, tomatoes, bacon and croutons. Pour dressing over salad and toss well. 5. Enjoy! |
