I got this recipe from a friend at work. Not only does it make great bloody mary's, but also a killer red beer! Great for any recipe where you want a little zing in your juice. Ingredients:
15 lbs tomatoes |
1 tablespoon lemon juice |
1 teaspoon lemon juice |
3 tablespoons worcestershire sauce |
2 teaspoons celery salt |
1 1/2 teaspoons onion powder |
3 teaspoons canning salt |
1/2 teaspoon pepper |
2 tablespoons sugar |
3 beef bouillon cubes or 1 tablespoon beef bouillon granules |
1/2 teaspoon tabasco sauce |
1/2 teaspoon lawry's seasoned salt |
Directions:
1. Cut tomatoes into quarters (no need to peel) and cook until mushy. Cool down then run through blender and then through a food mill. Bring juice to a boil and add the other ingredients. Carefully fill canning jars with hot juice. Jars will seal as the juice cools. |
