From SELF Magazine. This is a vitamin C-packed drink from Neal Fraser, chef Grace Restaurant in LA. Ingredients:
1 medium piece fresh horseradish (peeled & julienned) |
20 black peppercorns |
1 pint vodka |
5 cups ripe tomatoes (chopped) |
1/2 teaspoon celery salt |
4 celery ribs |
Directions:
1. Place horseradish & pepperdcorns in vodka bottle; seal & chill at least 24 hours. 2. Puree tomatoes; drain w/fine-mesh sieve & discard pulp. Add celery salt. 3. Fill a shaker w/ice; add 2 oz vodka (not peppercorns or horseradish), 1 oz tomato puree; shake. Strain into martini glass & garnish w/a celery stalk. |
