Ingredients:
3/4 cup butter, softened |
2 cups packed brown sugar |
4 eggs |
2 teaspoons vanilla extract |
2 cups all-purpose flour |
2 teaspoons baking powder |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 1/2 cups chopped pecans |
1 cup maple syrup |
2 tablespoons butter |
1/4 cup evaporated milk |
Directions:
1. In mixing bowl, cream butter and brown sugar. 2. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well afer each addition. 3. Beat in vanilla. 4. Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. 5. Gradually add to creamed mixture. Stir in pecans. 6. Spread into a greased 13x9 baking pan. 7. Bake at 350* for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near center comes out clean. 8. Cool on a wire rack. 9. FOR SAUCE:. 10. Combine syrup and butter and stir for 3 minutes. 11. Remove from the heat, stir in milk. 12. Cut brownies into squares, cut in half if desired. 13. Place on dessert plates with a scoop of ice cream. 14. Top with sauce, sprinkle with pecans. |
