Delicious with cocktails. Savory and rich. Ingredients:
4 oz. package of blue cheese, room temperature |
8 oz. package of light cream cheese, room temperature |
1/2 cup of light sour cream |
1 bunch of green onions, slivered diagonally, tops included |
1 bunch of parsley, chopped fine |
6 oz. of coarsely chopped toasted walnuts |
lots of freshly ground black pepper |
Directions:
1. Combine cheeses and sour cream until well blended, 2. Add green onions and walnuts and parsley. 3. Keep grinding in the black pepper. 4. You want a lot of it here. 5. This mixture should be stiff and not runny. 6. Allow to mellow in the refrigerator for 3-4 hours. 7. Serve with sliced toasted French bread or something as sturdy and crispy yet not strongly flavored like a Melba toast |
