Now this another one of them Southern yummy thangs. :o) I haven't made it in years but my Daddy loved this. Ingredients:
1 lb. ground beef |
1 c. black-eyed peas, drained |
1 c. onion, chopped |
1 c. cornmeal |
1/2 c. flour |
1 c. buttermilk |
1/4 c. cooking oil |
2 eggs, slightly beaten |
1 tsp. salt |
1/2 tsp. baking soda |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F 2. Brown meat and drain well. 3. Add other ingredients in order given. 4. Mix well. 5. Place in large iron skillet that has been well greased. 6. Bake 45 minutes, or until done. |
