Blackberry Sour Cream Waffles |

BLACKBERRY SOUR CREAM WAFFLES This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Pryor Estate in Grapevine, Texas in 1996. Ingredients:
1 cup flour |
1/2 tablespoon granulated sugar |
1 teaspoon baking powder |
1/4 teaspoon baking soda |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1 egg separated |
1 cup sour cream |
1/4 cup milk |
1/4 cup butter melted |
1 cup fresh blackberries |
Directions:
1. Sift together dry ingredients then set aside. 2. Mix egg yolk, sour cream, milk, butter and blackberries then add to flour mixture and mix well. 3. Fold in whipped egg white and pour into oiled waffle iron. 4. Cook each side until browned then serve immediately with butter and your favorite syrup. |
