A southern summer ritual is picking wild blackberries. A perfect drink for the bounty. Ingredients:
2 pints fresh blackberries |
1 cup sugar |
2 cups fresh lemon juice |
3 cups cold water |
Directions:
1. In a food processor or blender, pulse the blackberries and sugar until smooth. 2. Strain the puree into a 1 1/2 quart pitcher, pressing on the solids to get all the juice. 3. Stir in the lemon juice and water until blended. 4. Chill until cold; serve in ice-filled glasses. |
