Mixing blackberries and vanilla yogurt together to churn out this purple delight. Other fruit alternitives are boysenberries, raspberries or strawberries. Ingredients:

5 cups fresh or frozen blackberries |
1/3 cup water |
2 tbs. lemon juice |
1 cup sugar or ( sugar substitute equivalent to 1 cup sugar ) |
2 tsp. vanilla extract |
4 cups ( 32-oz ) edy's fat-free no sugar added frozen vanilla yogurt ( or any other brand ) |
Directions:
1. In a food processor or blender, Add blackberries, water and lemon juice cover and puree. Strain blackberries, reserving juice and pulp. Discard seeds. Return to pureed blackberries to food processor or blender; add sugar or sugar substitute and vanilla. Cover and process until smooth. 2. In a large bowl, combine yogurt and blackberry mixture. Fill cylinder of ice cream freezer two-thirds full; freeze according to the manufacturer's directions. Refrigerate remaining mixture until ready to freeze. When yogurt is frozen, transfer to a freezer container; freeze for 2 – 4 hours before serving. 3.
