This is so good and so easy, I got it out of Womens Weekly magazine with a few little tweeks of my own. You will definitely enjoy it! Ingredients:
2 cups fresh blackberries or frozen blackberries (i used frozen) |
2 tablespoons sugar |
1 teaspoon cornstarch |
1 1/2 teaspoons water |
1/2 teaspoon lemon juice |
1/2 cup quick-cooking oats |
2 tablespoons flaked almonds |
2 tablespoons sunflower seeds |
1/4 cup flour |
1/4 cup packed brown sugar |
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon |
1/4 cup cold butter or margarine |
Directions:
1. Place blackberries in a greased 1-qt. baking dish. 2. In a small bowl, combine the sugar, cornstarch, water and lemon juice until smooth; pour over berries. 3. Combine the oats, almonds, sunflower seeds, flour, brown sugar and cinnamon; cut in butter until crumbly. 4. Sprinkle over berries. 5. Bake, uncovered, at 375 degrees 190c for 20-25 minutes or until filling is bubbly. 6. Serve warm with ice cream. |
