Blackberry Barbecue Sauce |

This BBQ sauce goes great on ribs and chicken, but it can be used on just about anything. Perfect for those tired of plain ol' BBQ sauce. Ingredients:
1 cup blackberry |
1 teaspoon butter |
2 tablespoons red wine vinegar |
1/4 cup brown sugar |
2 tablespoons dark corn syrup |
1/2 cup catsup |
4 garlic cloves, peeled and crushed |
1 teaspoon smoked paprika |
3/4 teaspoon kosher salt |
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper |
crushed red pepper flakes, to taste |
Directions:
1. Puree all ingredients in a blender or food processor. Pour the mixture into a saucepan and simmer for about an hour. Let cool and store in the fridge. |
