Black Walnut Pound Cake

This receipe came from a cookbook called More Bountiful Tables. My husband and I love this cake.
Ingredients:
1 cup margarine
1/2 cup crisco
2 3/4 cups sugar
4 eggs
1 cup milk
3 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 teaspoons black walnut flavoring (if using extract i use only 1tsp.)
1/2 cup finely chopped black walnut
1/2 cup margarine
2 teaspoons black walnut flavoring
1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese
1 lb confectioners' sugar
1/2 cup finely chopped black walnut
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 300.
2. Grease and flour tube pan.
3. I start at the top and add all items on list one by one until I have it all in the bowl and mix until smooth.
4. Bake for 1 hour 35 minutes or until cake tests done.
5. Remove from oven and let set 10 minutes.
6. Remove cake from pan and let it cool completely.
7. Butter Cream Frosting:.
8. Soften margarine and cream cheese. mix together all ingredients except nuts.Add flavoring last.If mixture is too thick to spread add a few drops of water. Apply to cake then sprinkle with nuts.
