OK... this is from a cookbook I was given.. It is from MO. I will write the discription JUST like it was printed.. I find it cute! Gather sum walnuts, put th' young'uns to shellin' an' crackin' an' pickin-an' then take a fling at this recipe- It's good eatin'! Read more ! Ingredients:
1 cup dark corn syrup |
1 teaspoon flout |
3 eggs beaten |
1/8 teaspoon salt |
chopped black walnuts |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1/2 cup sugar |
egg white |
melted butter |
uncooked pie shell |
Directions:
1. Combine and mix well the corn syrup, flour, three eggs beaten, salt, vanilla and sugar. 2. Pour into uncooked pie shell. 3. Brush pie crust with egg white. 4. Put butter over pie and cover with chopped black walnuts. 5. Bake for about 40 minutes in a very slow oven, 250-275f |
