Ingredients:
1 cup light brown sugar |
1/2 cup shortening |
1 egg |
1 1/2 cups flour |
1/2 teaspoon baking soda |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1 cup black walnut, chopped |
granulated sugar, for dipping |
Directions:
1. Cream sugar and shortening until light. 2. Add egg and vanilla; beat. 3. Add dry ingredients and nuts; mix. 4. Dip fingers in sugar, then make a small ball (size of a walnut). 5. Dip in sugar, and press down onto a greased cookie sheet. 6. Bake 12- 15 minutes at 375 degrees F. |
