I get black walnuts from my MIL and make these every year. Its a bit time consuming opening all the walnuts but the cookies make it worth it every time. Ingredients:
2 cups sugar |
1/2 cup butter |
2 eggs |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1/2 cup milk |
3 1/2 cups flour |
3 teaspoons baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon baking soda |
1 cup black walnut, chopped |
Directions:
1. Cream sugar and butter, add rest of ingredients. 2. Make a soft dough - 3. Chill, then cool and cut with a cutter. 4. Bake to golden brown, about 8 minutes. |
