Ingredients:
3 cups brown sugar |
1/2 cup lard |
3 eggs |
1 teaspoon baking soda, dissolved in |
2 tablespoons water, hot |
1 teaspoon cream of tartar |
1 tablespoon black walnut flavoring |
1/2 cup walnuts, chopped |
5 cups flour |
Directions:
1. Mix and roll long way with your hands. 2. Make into 2 (10-inch) rolls. 3. Leave in refrigerator all day or overnight and slice with a sharp knife about 1/4-inch. 4. Bake on greased cookie sheet about 8 to 10 minutes. |
