Friends and family always request this cake at potlucks and dinners. It's a very easy cake to make and kids love it as well as adults! Recipe from InterCourses: An Aphrodisiac Cookbook. Ingredients:
1 package devil's food cake mix |
1 cup vegetable oil |
1 (3 ounce) package instant chocolate pudding mix |
4 eggs |
3/4 cup strong coffee |
1/2 cup creme de cacao |
1/4 cup kahlua |
1 cup confectioners' sugar, sifted |
2 tablespoons strong coffee |
2 tablespoons kahlua |
2 tablespoons creme de cacao |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 2. Combine the cake mix, oil, pudding mix, eggs, coffee, creme de cacao, and Kahlua in a large bowl. 3. Beat for 4 minutes until quite smooth. 4. Pour into a greased 12-cup tube or bundt pan. 5. Bake for 50 minutes. 6. Remove from the pan and invert onto a serving plate. 7. Punch holes throughout the cake with a skewer. 8. Prepare the topping by combining the confectioner's sugar, coffee, Kahlua, and creme de cacao. 9. Mix well and spoon over the warm cake. |
