Originally from The Can Opener Gourmet. My family LOVES croutons - especially the kids! Ingredients:
3 tablespoons olive oil |
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder |
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme |
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper |
2 cups any bread |
Directions:
1. Remove crusts from bread and cut into 1/2 inch cubes. 2. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. 3. In a large frying pan, combine the first 4 ingredients over medium heat. 4. When hot, remove from heat and add bread cubes. Toss to coat. 5. Please the cuves onto a baking sheet and bake for about 15 minutes. Stir during the baking process a few times. When ready, they should just begin to turn brown. |
