Black Pepper Beef and Cabbage Stir Fry |

A very simple Chinese stir fry dish. Serve with hot steamed rice Ingredients:
2 tablespoons vegetable oil |
4 garlic cloves, chopped |
1/2 lb ground beef |
1/2 small cabbage, sliced |
1 red bell pepper, cut into strips |
2 tablespoons soy sauce |
1 teaspoon cornstarch |
1/2 cup water |
1 teaspoon ground black pepper |
Directions:
1. Heat a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat, and add oil. 2. Saute garlic for about 5 seconds, then add ground beef. 3. Stir in cabbage and pepper, and cook until vegetables are tender and beef is fully cooked. 4. Stir in soy sauce. Mix cornstarch and water in a small bowl and stir into the beef and vegetables. 5. Cook and stir until the sauce has thickened. |
