Black Olive And Rosemary Bread |

This artisan style bread bakes up tender and soft and bursting with flavor. Plus your house will smell great when you've baked it. Ingredients:
1 1/4 c. water |
1 t. olive oil |
1 t. salt |
1/2 c. whole wheat flour |
2 1/2 c. bread flour |
2 1/4 t. yeast |
1/2 c. oil-cured black olives, pitted |
2 t. fresh rosemary, coarsely chopped |
Directions:
1. For Bread Machine: 2. Setting:Basic or French cycle, normal or med. crust. 3. Add ingredients in order specified by your manufacturer. Olives and rosemary can be added at the beep, or 5 min. before the end of the last kneading cycle. 4. Bread Machine/Oven Combo: 5. Setting: dough. 6. When dough cycle complete, remove bread from machine, punch down, shape into smooth log. Cut the log into three equal sections, keeping one end just connected. Braid the three ropes. Put on baking stone or into bread pan. Cover with a towel and let rise again, till doubled, about 30-45 min. 8. Preheat oven to 350. 9. Bake for 20-25 min. Cool and serve. |
