Another Louisiana favorite....This is great with soups, stews, fresh veggies... Ingredients:
1 cup yellow cornmeal |
1 cup flour |
4 teaspoons baking powder |
3/4 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon sugar |
1 beaten egg |
1 cup milk |
2 tablespoons oil |
Directions:
1. Place oil in heavy skillet. 2. Shift dry ingredients into bowl; add egg and milk. 3. Mix well and pour into skillet; stir to mix in oil. 4. Bake at 425 degrees for 25 minutes... |
