Wonderful German dessert made into a cookie! Enjoy.... Ingredients:
1c. unsalted butter, softened |
3/4c. sugar |
1/2c. firmly packed brown sugar |
2 eggs |
1-1/2tsp. vanilla |
1-2/3c. all-purpose flour |
1tsp. baking soda |
1/4tsp. salt |
2c. uncooked old fashioned oats |
1-1/2c. semi sweet chocolate chips |
1c. dried tart cherries, coarsely chopped |
drizzle |
2c. powdered sugar |
2tsp. kirsch wasser |
3tbs. water |
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 350F. Combine butter, sugar and brown sugar in large bowl. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until creamy. Add eggs and vanilla; continue beating until well mixed. Reduce speed to low; add flour, baking soda and salt. Beat until will mixed. Stir in oats, chocolate chips and cherries. 2. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls, 2 inches apart, onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown. Cool completely. 3. Stir together powdered sugar and Kirsch in small bowl. Gradually stir in enough water for desired drizzling consistency. Drizzle over cooled cookies. |
