Submitted by Kate Dampier. She says My popular pinwheels wow guests at holiday parties. People like the smokiness of the ham and the sweet surprise of the cherries. I apreciate the make-ahead convenience the recipe offers. I haven't made these yet, but they sound awesome. Ingredients:
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened |
4 teaspoons minced fresh dill |
1 tablespoon lemon juice |
2 teaspoons dijon mustard |
1 dash salt & pepper |
1/2 cup dried cherries, chopped |
1/4 cup chopped green onion |
5 (10 inch) flour tortillas |
1/2 lb sliced deli black forest ham |
1/2 lb sliced swiss cheese |
Directions:
1. In a small bowl, beat the cream cheese, dill, lemon juice, mustard, salt and pepper until blended. 2. Stir in the cherries and onions. Spread over each tortilla; layer with ham and cheese. 3. Roll up tightly; wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours. 4. Cut into 1/2 slices. |
