BLACK FOREST DESSERT NACHOS This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Ballard Estate in Euless, Texas in 1992. Ingredients:
6 flour tortillas cut into 4 pieces each |
vegetable oil for frying |
1/2 cup cinnamon |
1/2 cup granulated sugar |
2 cups dark chocolate chips |
6 scoops chocolate ice cream |
1 can cherry pie filling |
Directions:
1. Fry tortillas in oil until crisp. 2. As soon as you pull tortillas from oil shake excess oil off and put into bowl lined with towel. 3. Combine sugar and cinnamon then place cooked tortillas on a cookie sheet. 4. Sprinkle sugar mixture over tortillas until evenly and thickly coated. 5. Melt chocolate in microwave glass bowl then drizzle chocolate over chips. 6. Place 6 tortillas on plate and top with a scoop of ice cream then spoon pie filling on top. 7. Serve immediately. |
