A oblong pan version for a chocolate, cherry coffee cake Ingredients:
3 eggs |
1 1/2 c sugar |
1/2 c oil |
1 1/2 c milk |
2 tsp vanilla |
3 c flour |
2 ts baking powder |
1 c chocolate chips |
1 cn cherry pie filling |
topping |
1 c bisquick |
1/2 c sugar |
1/4 c butter or oleo |
1/2 c chocolate chips for garnish |
Directions:
1. Beat eggs, add sugar, shortening, milk and vanilla. 2. Then add flour and baking powder. 3. When well mixed add chocolate chips. 4. Pour into a large greased baking pan. 5. Drop cherry pie filling by the teaspoon in even rows into the batter. 6. Blend topping with pastry blender to form loose crumbs. 7. Sprinkle over top of cake and garnish with chocolate ships. 8. Bake at 375 degrees for 50 minutes to 1 hour OR until golden brown and tested done. |
