All I can say is Yummie, enjoy! Ingredients:
1 1/3 c. all purpose flour |
1 t. baking powder |
1/2 t. salt |
1 c. butter or margarine |
1 c. baking cocoa |
4 eggs beaten |
2 c. sugar |
1 1/2 t. vanilla extract |
1 t. almond extract |
1 c. chopped maraschino cherries |
1/2 c. chopped nuts |
icing |
1/4 c. butter or margarine, softened |
1 t. vanilla extract |
2 c. confectioners' sugar |
6 t. baking cocoa |
1/4 c. milk |
1/4 c. chopped nuts |
Directions:
1. Combine flour, baking powder and salt; set aside. 2. In a large saucepan, melt butter. Remove from the heat and stir in cocoa until smooth. 3. Blend in eggs, sugar and extracts. Stir in flour mixture, cherries and nuts. 4. Pour into greased 9x13 baking pan. 5. Bake at 350 for 35 minutes or until brownies test done. 6. For icing, blend butter, vanilla, sugar, cocoa and milk until smooth; spread over hot brownies. Sprinkle with nuts. Cool. |
