Black Forest Brownie Torte |

Its easy to turn a brownie mix into a dessert. Ingredients:
1 (19 7/8 ounce) brownie mix |
1/4 cup water |
1/3 cup oil |
3 eggs |
6 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips |
1/4 teaspoon almond extract |
21 ounces cherry pie filling |
2 cups cool whip |
1/4 cup sliced almonds, toasted |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350. 2. Grease and frour two 9 round pans. 3. Prepare brownie mix according to pkg directions for cake like brownies. 4. Stir chocolate chips into batter. 5. Divide batter evenly between prepared pans. 6. Bake 18-20 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. 7. Cool 10 minutes in pans. 8. Loosen edges and remove from pans. 9. Cool completely. 10. Stir almond extract into cherry pie filling. 11. Place one brownie onto serving plate. 12. Top with 1 1/2 cups cool whip. 13. Spread 1 cup cherry pie filling over cool whip. 14. Top with second brownie layer. 15. Spread remaining cherry filling over top. 16. Decorate with dollop of cool whip. 17. Sprinkle with sliced almonds. |
