Black Eyed Pea Fritters

I personally do not like black eyed peas but I made these for my family with New Years Eve's dinner and they seemed to enjoy them. They are also really easy to make.
Ingredients:
3 cps black eyed peas
1/2 cp cooked chopped bacon
1/3 cp roasted red peppers
all purpose flour, enough to bind together
salt and pepper to taste
1 tbls butter
1 tbls oil
Directions:
1. Combine first 5 ingredients in a bowl and mix well and shape into patties.
2. Heat oil and butter over med hi heat.
3. Fry patties on both sides for 5 minutes or until brown.
