Black Beans With Apple Juice |

I'm a hungry and poor college student, and this recipe came from finding a can of black beans in my pantry and adapting a recipe found on Google for ingredients I had on hand. The apple juice combines with the chili powder and cayenne to give a sweet but zesty kick. Ingredients:
1 (16 ounce) can black beans, drained |
1 cup apple juice |
1 teaspoon chili powder |
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder |
1/2 teaspoon onion powder |
1/2 teaspoon cumin |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper |
Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients in a stovepot. Bring to a boil. 2. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes. 3. Serve over yellow rice, tortillas, or just as a side dish. |
