This is a recipe that I discovered in one of those booklets that you see at the supermarket checkouts. It is a long time favorite. The dish takes a bit of time to make but it is worth the effort.

filling
1 tablespoon butter
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/3 cup chopped green pepper
8 ounces ground turkey
15 ounce can of black beans , rinsed and drained

2 teaspoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup milk

7. Continue cooking, stirring occasionally until turkey is no longer pink (5-7 minutes).
8. Stir in beans, tomato sauce and seasoning mix.
9. Set aside.
10. Combine cornmeal, sugar, and salt in medium bowl.
