Black Bean Soup (Crock Pot) |

There are lots of black bean soups on Zaar, but none as simple as this. This recipe comes from a very old Rival cookbook. Prep time does not include time for soaking the beans. Ingredients:
1 lb dried black beans, soaked overnight |
3 cups water |
1/4 lb bacon, fried crisp and crumbled |
2 medium onions, chopped |
1 teaspoon garlic salt |
1/2 teaspoon black pepper |
Directions:
1. Combine all of the ingredients in a crock pot. 2. Cover and cook on high for 4-6 hours. |
