Black Bean Potato And Jalapeno Soup |

This is a recipe that came with my slow cooker.. I love black beans.. you can make this as spicy and hot as you want.. serve with good bread. Ingredients:
1 can ( 16 oz.) black beans, drained |
2 potatoes diced |
1/2 lb cooked ham, cut into pieces |
6 cups beef broth |
2 onions chopped or 1/4 cup dried onions |
1 (4 oz) can chopped jalapeno or mild chili peppers |
1 clove garlic, minced |
1 teasp. cumin |
1 teasp. oregano |
1 teasp. thyme |
optional: you can add more garlic, cooked hot italian sausage |
use ham broth or chicken broth |
Directions:
1. Combine all the ingredients in al crockpot or slow cooker 2. cover and cook on low for 8 - 10 hours or on high for 4 - 5 hours 3. to serve; garnish the bowls with a dollop of sour cream and chopped tomatoes if desired |
