Whenever I makd this recipe for work or a party, it's quickly eaten up! Ingredients:
1 clove of minced garlic |
1 (15 oz) garbganzo beans |
2 tablespoons of lemon juice |
1 and 1/2 tablespoons of tahini paste (sesame seed paste - i like krinos) |
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper |
1/4 teaspoon paprika |
10 greek (kalamata) olives |
Directions:
1. Drain black beans leaving 2 tablespoons reserved liquid. 2. In a food processor or blender, add black beans, garlic, lemon juice, tahini, cumin, salt, and cayenne pepper and blend until smooth, scraping down the sides as needed. 3. Add additional seasoning and liquid to taste. 4. Spread the hummus into a flat serving dish and garnish with paprika and Greek olives. |
