South Beach Phase 1 and Going Against the Grain Friendly. Great as a veggie dip. If you are not restricting yourself, there are an endless variety of delicious dippers out there. I did not include refrigerator time in the prep time. Ingredients:
1 (15 ounce) can black beans |
1/4 cup vegetable stock or 1/4 cup water |
3 tablespoons tahini |
3 garlic cloves |
2 tablespoons lemon juice |
1 1/2 tablespoons soy sauce |
salt (to taste) |
cayenne pepper (to taste) |
Directions:
1. Rinse and drain the canned beans. 2. Place the first 6 ingredients into food processor. 3. Whirl it together until smooth *hey if you like chunky, go for it!*. 4. Add the salt and cayenne to taste. 5. Refrigerate for 1 or 2 hours to allow flavors to meld. 6. Spoon into a bowl and serve with your preferred dippers. |
