original recipe called for 2 lbs powdered sugar which is replaced with Splenda, xylitol, erythritol or any other sweetener of your choice. Low sodium beans are of choice too. Ingredients:
1.69 cup black beans, 15 oz can |
2 cups splenda |
1 cup xylitol |
1/2 cup canola oil |
4 squares bakers chocolate |
1 scoop chocolate whey protein |
28 g (1 ounce) cocoa nibs |
8 tbs water (approximate) |
Directions:
1. Puree black beans, washed and drained, in blender along with 1/2 oil. 2. Melt baker squares in microwave in microwave dish [or final dish/pan if you work it right]; add second half of oil and mix well then blend in sweetener and whey protein. 3. Add bean puree to chocolate mixture, rinsing out blender with minimum of water. 4. Mix thoroughly, adding water if needed. 5. Spread evenly in 9 x 10 pan and top with cocoa nibs. 6. Refrigerate at least 1 hour then cut into 24 squares; store in freezer of frig. 7. ===== 8. (optional) 3 oz unsweetened cocoa 9. (optional) 1 tbs sugar free syrup 10.
