Savory Smoked Ham and Black Bean Soup Ingredients:
32 cup water |
5 lbs. ham (smoked with bone) |
1248 g. black beans (goya) |
1 onion |
Directions:
1. Boil Ham in water for 1 hour. 2. Remove Ham and the Bone. 3. Add Beans and chopped Onions(don?t drain the beans, use the liquid it adds flavor and color). Add seasoning to taste. 4. Slow boil for 1 hour. 5. Remove ham from the bone and shred. Combine ham to the pot after beans are cooked and simmer 30 minutes. 6. Serve as a first course, main dish or side dish. ☺ |
