Black And White Turkey Chile |

A variation on traditional chile. Ingredients:
2 pounds ground turkey |
2 finely chopped onions |
1 head garlic, minced |
1 green pepper, chopped |
2 cans white navy beans (rinsed and drained) |
1 large can black beans (rinsed and drained) |
1 can crushed tomatoes |
1 can whole plum tomates (squished up with your hands) |
2 tbs cumin seed |
2 tbs liquid honey |
juice of one orange |
1-3 tbs hot sauce (you decide how hot!) |
salt and pepper to taste |
Directions:
1. Saute onions, garlic and pepper in a little oil unti soft. Remove to large pot. 2. Brown turkey. Add to large pot. 3. Add remaining ingredients to pot, return to heat. 4. Bring to a rolling boil. Then let simmer for an hour or longer! 5. Enjoy. |
